Attraction Highlight:
Solitary Beauty Peak located on the campus of the Guangxi Nomal University, projects out from the ground like giant spike. The climb to the peak is steep, but the view from the top is worth the effort as you'll be able to take in the surrounding countryside and the Li River. At the bottom of the peak is Wang Cheng, which was a Ming dynasty palace where the regional imperial exams were held.

Why is it called Solitary Beauty Peak? It rises dramatically in the center of Guilin and also offers spectacular views of the city and surrounding countryside. As with so many rocky and peaks upthrusts in and around Guilin, centuries of visits lead to the creation of a carved stairway. The pathway starts at Wang Cheng, the Ming Dynasty palace located in the center of town, now home to the campus of Guangxi Normal University and also the site of nightly performances by local minorities.

How to get there:

Bus Line no. 1 or 2 from the Guilin Railway Station.
