Guangzhou Museum of Art claims to be the largest modern art museum in China. It is a working museum, which aims to collect recent works of Chinese art. It's a lovely and large space with 12 exhibition halls, a large auditorium and tropical atrium. If you are interested in art works, spend at least a half day of in exploring the museum.
Guangdong Museum of Art consists of twelve indoor exhibition halls which cover an area of 8,000 square meters.Besides, An outdoor Sculpture garden covers 5000 square meters. Each year, the museum hosts nearly sixty art exhibitions ranging from smaller intimate looks at the work of contemporary artists to exhibitions larger in scale such as that of sculptor Henry Moore. Recently, the Guangdong Museum of Art has initiated a Triennial Exhibition of contemporary art, including both Chinese and international.
