Solitary Beauty Peak
Attraction Highlight
Solitary Beauty Peak located on the campus of the Guangxi Nomal University, projects out from the ground like giant spike. The climb to the peak is steep, but the view from the top is worth the effort as you'll be able to take in the surrounding countryside and the Li River. At the bottom of the peak is Wang Cheng, which was a Ming dynasty palace where the regional imperial exams were held.
Guangzhou Museum of Art
Attraction Highlight
Guangzhou Museum of Art claims to be the largest modern art museum in China. It is a working museum, which aims to collect recent works of Chinese art. It's a lovely and large space with 12 exhibition halls, a large auditorium and tropical atrium. If you are interested in art works, spend at least a half day of in exploring the museum.
Baiyun Mountain
Attraction Highlight
Baiyun Mountain(白云山), which is a small mountain that dominates the town, is approximately 15km north of the town centre. Hardly a mountain at only 382m. It's part of the Kun Shan mountain rage. Pagodas, monasteries and teshouses are dotted about its base and when the weather is clear and the pollution isno't too bad, views from the top can be gorgeous. However, it is often difficult to get away from other tourists.
Chaotian Gate of Chongqing
I was born in Chongqing. When I was young, I always dreamd to go to Chaotian Gate. It was the center of old Chongqing and attracted me so much.
